Leidos Australia’s Mission Equipment Service Centre (MESC) in Cairns was named MRO Business of the Year at the 2026 Australian Aviation Awards, the only facility of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

The CASA Part‑145 certified centre, operating to ISO 9001 and AS9110 standards, supports radar, electro‑optical, avionics and integrated mission systems for customers such as the Australian Border Force, Defence, State Police, Fire Services, Indonesian Navy, Singapore Ministry of Defence and Royal New Zealand Air Force, and is an authorised L3Harris WESCAM service centre and Raytheon SeaVue radar maintenance facility. It recently entered the US Navy’s NAVSUP program after L3Harris endorsement and developed an in‑house repair solution that returned 11 Dash 8 auxiliary fuel probes to service in less than a week, achieving an average 2025 repair turnaround of 15 days, well below its 30‑day target and the industry norm of about 90 days.
