On 2 October, Condor flight DE1518 from Hamburg to Gran Canaria departed with about a two‑hour delay using an Airbus A320 registered LY‑MAU that carried Syrian Air branding, after the originally scheduled Condor aircraft LY‑NRU was damaged in Palma de Mallorca; the replacement aircraft was supplied by Heston Airlines, a wet‑lease partner of Condor.

The return flight DE1519 from Gran Canaria to Hamburg was delayed and diverted to Hannover because of night‑time restrictions at Hamburg Airport, after which the aircraft flew from Hannover to Vienna on 3 October before resuming Syrian Air operations.
