Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico said its 12 Mexican airports saw total passenger traffic fall 6.7% in September 2026 compared with the same month in 2025.

Tijuana airport recorded a 12.1% decline, Puerto Vallarta 10.4%, and Los Cabos 7.5% in the same period, while Montego Bay and Kingston airports in Jamaica posted decreases of 16.6% and 3.8% respectively; the drop was mainly attributed to reduced seat capacity from airlines, especially on domestic routes, and adverse weather from Hurricane Polo impacted operations at Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos in the final days of September.
