Binter announced at the Farnborough Air Show that it will purchase nine Embraer E195‑E2 aircraft and is seeking $510 million to fund the fleet renewal, with financing backed by Santander, CaixaBank and BBVA and support from Deloitte and KPMG.

The new jets will bring Binter’s fleet to 25 aircraft, with deliveries beginning gradually in 2027; each E195‑E2 seats 132 passengers in a 2‑2 layout, offers greater row spacing and lower emissions than earlier models.

Why it matters

The investment is intended to expand Binter’s business and optimise connectivity across the Canary Islands.
