The Federal Aviation Administration approved JetBlue Airways' acquisition of 22 slots at LaGuardia Airport from Spirit Airlines' debtors for $58.5 million.

The FAA rejected JetBlue's requests to limit future transfers of the slots to ultra‑low‑cost carriers and to extend its use requirement to five years, but granted a waiver of the use‑or‑lose rule for the slots until April 2027 to allow the airline to ramp up service.
