Air Astana to start direct Almaty‑Tokyo service on 30 Nov 2026

Air Astana will begin direct flights between Almaty and Tokyo on 30 November 2026, with the return leg operating on 1 December 2026, and will run twice weekly.

The service uses Airbus A321LR aircraft offering Business and Economy cabins, departs Almaty on Mondays and Thursdays at 21:55 arriving in Tokyo at 09:25, and returns from Tokyo on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:55 landing in Almaty at 16:20; the outbound flight lasts about 7 h 30 m and the return about 9 h 25 m. It will be operated in codeshare with Japan Airlines, and fares start at $797 for Economy and $3,177 for Business, inclusive of taxes and charges. Air Astana CEO Ibrahim Canliel said the route is a key priority to strengthen Kazakhstan’s leadership as a hub.
