Etihad Airways and Ibom Air sign interline agreement covering Nigeria and Ghana

Etihad Airways and Ibom Air have signed an interline agreement that lets passengers travel on a single ticket between Lagos or Accra and several Nigerian cities, with checked baggage through to the final destination.

Interline partnership details

The agreement allows passengers arriving in Lagos or Accra to connect to Abuja, Uyo, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Enugu on a single ticket, and also covers connections between Accra and Abuja and between Accra and Uyo, with baggage checked through to the final destinations.

Arik De, Etihad Airways Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, said the partnership helps grow on the continent, while George Uriesi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ibom Air, said the agreement positions Ibom Air as the key domestic and regional connection for Etihad’s operations into Nigeria and Ghana.

Planned flight launches

Etihad will launch daily nonstop services from Abu Dhabi to Lagos on 23 March 2027.

Etihad will also launch four weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to Accra on 24 March 2027.
