Erling Haaland and York Promotions Ltd have filed a lawsuit against Norwegian Air Shuttle, alleging the airline used an edited image of a Norwegian aircraft that resembled Haaland’s hairstyle to promote flight tickets during the 2026 World Cup, with a hearing set for October 9 at Oslo District Court.

Norwegian Air Shuttle said it was surprised by the lawsuit and described the campaign as a spontaneous expression of support for the Norwegian national team.
