- The Cha de Santa Marta aerodrome, situated between the municipalities of Sarria and Láncara, began a conversion project in the 1920s and was ceded to the War Ministry by the Sarria council in 1928 and by the Láncara council in 1930.
- Two reconnaissance and bombing aircraft landed at the site on 25 June 1928, and the aerodrome covered 580,000 square metres; in 1932 the Sarria council paid 20 pesetas for aircraft custody, 340 pesetas to workers and 389 pesetas for labour, materials and transport, and in August 1933 squadrons from León and Getafe landed there.
