Wreckage of a Latitude Air Ambulance Gulfstream G100 was found in Nantucket waters as the Coast Guard continues a multi‑day search for the six occupants.
Search operation
The U.S. Coast Guard and regional emergency teams located wreckage of the aircraft in waters about 32 km from Nantucket, at depths between 24.4 m and 27.4 m. The search covered roughly 7,355 km² and lasted about 53.5 continuous hours. Coast Guard Northeast Command Commander Matt Lake said the priority is to find the six people on the aircraft.
Search and rescue operations began at 02:00 local time on Saturday.
Aircraft and occupants
The FAA reported loss of contact with a Gulfstream G100 belonging to Latitude Air Ambulance. The aircraft was carrying six people: four Canadian citizens and two Bermudian citizens.
The plane disappeared while flying from L.F. Wade International Airport in Bermuda to Logan International Airport in Boston.
