Thailand floods halt Thai Airways cargo and disrupt flights at Suvarnabhumi

Heavy rain in Bangkok caused flooding that forced Thai Airways to stop accepting inbound and outbound cargo from September 30 through October 6, and dozens of flights were cancelled on September 29 as half of its ground workforce could not reach Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The Meteorological Department warned of continued heavy rain on Monday and Tuesday, while the Interior Ministry reported 24 deaths and the Health Ministry reported 40 deaths, and Bangkok was declared a disaster‑affected zone after 320 mm of rain fell in three days.
