- TUSAŞ’s first KAAN P1 prototype completed all system checks and made its inaugural flight in February 2024, according to the company’s general manager Mehmet Demiroğlu at the TEKNOFEST technology festival on 2 October.
- The second prototype, P2, is now moving toward flight testing and is slated to fly before the end of 2026 if no further delays occur. TUSAŞ has restructured the production model, aiming to outsource up to 70 % of parts manufacturing and assembly to subcontractors. Indonesia has signed an agreement for KAAN, while discussions continue with Egypt about programme participation.
