- On 30 September, the Câmara de Coruche unanimously approved the municipality’s membership in the Associação de Municípios Portugueses do Cavalo and the creation of a working group to plan infrastructure to be built in Coruche as part of the New Lisbon Airport project.
- The council also approved an advisory council to analyse the airport’s impacts, comprising the mayor, municipal assembly representatives, executive members, council presidents, urban planning and strategic planning technicians, civil protection, local health unit, schools and specialists, with suggestions to include academics, active forces, partner entities and the GNR; officials highlighted the importance of valuing the Sorraia horse breed and promoting it through the Herdade dos Concelhos.
