Deputy Prime Minister reviews Long Thành Airport progress, 86% of work value completed

- Deputy Prime Minister Phạm Gia Túc inspected the Long Thành Airport project and reported on the progress of connecting routes, while Vietnam Airports Corporation said work completed on component 3 totals over 73.8 trillion VND, or 85.55% of the contract value, and disbursements exceed 47 trillion VND, or 54.49% of the contract value.
- Of the 16 main construction packages, 12 basic packages are on track for operation by December 2026; four packages – routes 1 and 2, earthworks and drainage, passenger‑station piles and the boundary wall – are finished, eight are on schedule with most items over 90% complete, and four – passenger station, internal port traffic, technical infrastructure, cargo station 1 and parking – are behind schedule. ACV plans to open the airport in three stages, increasing capacity from December 2026 to March 2027 with the west runway and central passenger station.
