JR East resumes Chiba line services after Typhoon 25

- JR East announced on 4 October its operation plan for Chiba lines affected by Typhoon 25 and said service on the Narita Line between Sabaru and Choshi would resume that day.
- The company also stated that service on the Nankai Line between Nagura and Kisarazu would restart on 5 October, with turnaround equipment at Nagura station completed and safe operation expected; the first departure from Kisarazu is set for 5:50 am and the last for 8:48 pm, while Nagura’s first and last departures are 6:28 am and 9:33 pm respectively. Service on the Nankai Line Kisarazu–Anabuki is reduced by 50 % and six daily services are suspended on the Oobashi Line Chiba–Oamachi.
