- On 30 August, 180 heavy trucks each weighing about 40 t were positioned on the Yanji Trường Giang bridge in Hubei, China, for a load test that reached a total of 7 200 t, equivalent to 18 fully loaded Boeing 747 aircraft. The trucks were arranged in multiple scenarios on both bridge decks to simulate realistic loading conditions and more than 20 000 data points were collected from sensors monitoring vibration, stress, displacement, temperature and component changes. After the static loading phase, the trucks moved at speeds ranging from 20 to 60 km/h to simulate operational conditions.
