Premium economy lacks universal definition and varies across airlines

- Air China’s premium economy sometimes uses the same seats as economy with extra legroom, while its newer Airbus A350 version offers wider seats, more recline and leg rests; earlier configurations on Airbus A330, Boeing 747-8 and Boeing 787-9 were closer to enhanced economy. Qatar Airways labels its product Comfort+ instead of premium economy, and Etihad Airways and JetBlue sell similar offerings without the premium economy name. Condor’s marketed premium economy relies heavily on additional space, and there is no universal regulatory definition of the class, which generally requires a separate cabin, distinct seat and elevated service package.
