- The YFQ‑48A Talon Blue performed its first fully autonomous flight on 3 October 2024 at Mojave Air and Space Port.
- The flight included taxiing, takeoff, in‑flight maneuvers and landing, and the aircraft was tracked at about 9,875 feet (3,010 m) altitude and 190 knots (352 km/h). The prototype carries civil registration N444LX and is also identified as Scaled Composites Model 444; it is a reconfigured version of Northrop’s earlier CCA proposal, about 454 kg lighter, using roughly 50 % fewer parts and requiring about 30 % less manufacturing time.
