  • BermudAir will begin two weekly Embraer E190 flights between Newark Liberty International Airport and South Caicos on 20 December, with Flight 2T187 leaving Newark at 11:00 am and arriving at 2:30 pm, and Flight 2T188 departing South Caicos at 7:35 pm and landing in Newark at 11:00 pm.
  • Each E190 will seat 96 passengers – eight in business class and 88 in economy – and the route will be the New York area’s first nonstop service to the Turks and Caicos Islands; BermudAir is also adding 14 new routes this winter to destinations such as Providenciales, Belize City and Guatemala City from Boston, Raleigh‑Durham and Orlando Sanford.

Why it matters

The new Newark‑South Caicos flights will double South Caicos’ scheduled international frequency in the winter season.
