Loss of contact
Contact with the aircraft was lost early Saturday morning local time, about one hour after departure, when the signal disappeared abruptly over the ocean.
Nantucket airport said the aircraft had declared an emergency before contact was lost.

Six people were aboard the aircraft, four of whom were Canadian.
