- On 30 September 2026 Flydubai flight FZ 1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv experienced a near‑disaster when the Omani first officer attacked the Indian captain with a knife during the approach to Tel Aviv.
- The captain opened the cockpit door and, with help from cabin crew and passengers, restrained the attacker; the aircraft then entered a rapid descent of 5,200 metres in two minutes before two Flydubai pilots on a coincidental flight on the same aircraft regained control and landed at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia.
