JAL to drop entry conditions for top‑tier JGC status, making JMB Premiere flight‑only from

Japan Airlines announced that the entry conditions for its JGC Premiere status will be removed and the tier will be renamed JMB Premiere, which can be earned solely through flight activity starting 1 January 2027.

To qualify for JMB Premiere passengers must earn 80,000 FLY ON points in a year, with at least 40,000 points on JAL Group flights, or complete 80 flights (40 on group flights) and collect 25,000 points; the new tier will include unlimited mileage validity and a 10,000‑mile bonus, while JMB Diamond will receive a 20,000‑mile bonus, with benefit changes taking effect from the 2028 fiscal year.
