- Air France carried out flight trials between February and April 2026 over the North Atlantic, analysing nearly 4,300 commercial flights.
- During the trials 245 flights with a high potential climate impact were rerouted, achieving a 57% reduction in contrail climate impact and a 36% reduction in overall climate impact, which lowered the total contrail impact by 8% – an effect equivalent to 22,000 tonnes of CO₂.
