Airbus and Kratos conduct first European test flight of U740 Valkyrie

Airbus and Kratos Defense & Security Solutions carried out the U740 Valkyrie’s first test flight in Europe, achieving all set targets.

The flight demonstrated rocket‑assisted take‑off, Mach 0.8 maneuvers and in‑flight mission plan changes; the aircraft is 9.1 m long, has an 8.2 m wingspan, a maximum take‑off weight of about three tonnes, a range exceeding 5,000 km and an operational ceiling of 45,000 ft.
