Wizz Air flight makes emergency landing at Otopeni after bird strike

Wizz Air flight WMT3005 departed Otopeni at 15:58 local time, struck a flock of birds shortly after takeoff and the pilots requested an emergency landing that was authorized by the control tower, with the aircraft landing safely at 16:19.

The aircraft was carrying more than 200 passengers, none of whom were reported injured or required medical care, and emergency crews from the Inspectoratul General pentru Situații de Urgență were mobilised on the runway.
