Istanbul Airport named world’s most connected hub with 350 destinations

Istanbul Airport was ranked the most connected airport in the world in the 2026 OAG Megahubs Index, linking to about 350 destinations worldwide.

The airport, which opened in 2018 on the European side of the city, handles more than 84 million passengers each year, features a 1.4 million‑square‑metre terminal under one roof and operates four main runways, with a long‑term capacity target of 200 million passengers.
