Aeroflot announced a schedule adjustment on 9 October, rescheduling and canceling flights because Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports were temporarily not accepting or sending aircraft.

The restrictions delayed a total of 243 flights across Moscow airports, including 113 at Vnukovo, 80 at Sheremetyevo and 50 at Domodedovo, and some aircraft were diverted to alternate airfields; passengers were urged to check flight status online before traveling.

Airlines warned that departure times could be shifted further after the restrictions are lifted if crew need additional rest to comply with working‑time and safety regulations.

Why it matters

Airlines may need to revise crew schedules and monitor flight status closely to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
