Austin-Bergstrom International Airport projects more than 40,000 departing passengers on October 8, a figure that would place the day among the airport’s ten busiest departure days.

A new 30,000‑square‑foot atrium opened ahead of schedule for the first weekend of ACL, a west‑gate expansion will add three boarding gates, and the Yellow Garage parking structure, slated to open in early 2027, will provide roughly 7,000 additional parking spaces.
