Turkish Airlines pilot and cabin crew member Gökhan Günaydın criticised a new remuneration arrangement that will take effect on 1 January 2027, saying it threatens flight safety.

Günaydın also disclosed that the airline’s total monthly personnel cost is 115 million 267 thousand Turkish lira, with a general manager earning 2 million 416 thousand lira per month, nine deputy general managers receiving 2 million 194 thousand lira each, forty presidents paid 1 million 208 thousand lira each, and fifty‑three vice‑presidents earning 845 thousand lira per month; Ahmet Bolat stepped down as board chairman and Murat Şeker was appointed as his successor.
