Icelandair to resume Madrid‑Reykjavik service in April 2027

Icelandair will restart direct flights between Madrid and Reykjavik on 9 April 2027, operating two weekly frequencies on Mondays and Fridays until 17 May 2027.

From 19 May to 25 October 2027 a Wednesday service will be added, raising the schedule to three weekly flights; the routes will use flight numbers FI997 (Madrid‑Reykjavik) and FI996 (Reykjavik‑Madrid) and each will last about four hours and twenty minutes, providing direct access to Iceland and new connection possibilities to the US and Canada via Keflavik.
