American man arrested for multiple perfume thefts in Changi Airport transit areas

A 47‑year‑old American was arrested by the Singapore Police Force on 25 September 2026 for a series of shop thefts at Changi Airport.

The thefts took place in the transit areas of Terminal 3 on 5 November 2025, Terminal 2 on 4 November 2025, and again on 24 April 2026, involving a box of perfume worth $331, three boxes totalling $646, and two boxes valued at $236.90 and $195.40 respectively. He was charged on 8 October 2026 with five counts of theft in dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal Code, an offence punishable by up to seven years’ imprisonment, a fine, or both.
