Biman Bangladesh Airlines signed a deal to buy ten aircraft from Airbus, comprising four A350-900s and six A321neo jets.

The A350-900 models are 25 percent more fuel‑efficient, emit less carbon, can seat 332‑352 passengers in a three‑class layout or up to 480 in all‑economy, and have a range of about 18,000 km; the A321neo can seat 180‑220 in two‑class or up to 244 in all‑economy and flies up to 7,500 km.

The Airbus order was placed days after Biman ordered five Boeing 787‑10s and six Boeing 737‑8s, adding to its fleet of 19 aircraft that includes B737‑800s, B777‑300ERs, B787‑8s, B787‑9s and DHC‑8‑Q400s.
