- AnimaWings, a Romanian airline, filed for bankruptcy on September 30 and removed its six Airbus A220-300 aircraft from service, leaving only two A320s to sustain part of its network.
- The airline cited recurring technical problems with its fleet, rising operational costs and an unfavourable economic environment as the main reasons for the filing, and the A220s were either retired after final flights in late September or transferred to Toulouse where they remain out of use.
