From 16 March 2026 Paris‑Charles de Gaulle Airport will rename its terminals, with the current Terminal 3 becoming Terminal 2 and terminals 2A and 2C merging into a new Terminal 3, among other reassignments, and boarding gates will be identified by single letters such as S and R in Terminal 1 and V in Terminal 2.

Parking areas will adopt the same terminal names, and Paris Aéroport staff will be on hand on the day of the change to guide passengers; tickets sold in advance already display the new designations, for example a flight now listed from Terminal 2E may appear as departing from Terminal 5, and the CDG Express is scheduled to launch on 28 March 2027.

Why it matters

The renumbering is intended to make movements within the airport more intuitive for connecting passengers.
