A pilot training aircraft made an emergency landing in an agricultural field near Kalaburagi Airport in the evening, around 5.45 p.m., with two trainee pilots on board.

The aircraft belonged to a private training academy; one source identifies it as Redbird Flight Training Academy, while the other simply notes a private academy in the airport area. The landing site is reported as being within the limits of Pala village in the University Police Station area by one source and within the Madbool Police Station limits near Sedam Road by the other. An investigation is under way, with one source saying airport authorities are probing the technical issue and the other expecting a Directorate General of Civil Aviation team to investigate on Wednesday.
