Pegasus Airlines acquired the Smartwings Group, which includes Czech Airlines, in early October and appointed Emre Pekesen as CEO and Nur Karabacak as CFO of Smartwings on 1 October, both coming from Pegasus Airlines.

Smartwings operates a fleet of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
