Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the co‑pilot of a Flydubai aircraft that crashed in Saudi Arabia was a citizen of Oman and had been influenced by extremist ideology, prompting an investigation by Israeli authorities.

The flight was operating from the United Arab Emirates to Israel when it descended 4,270 metres in 30 seconds and crashed, leading both Israel and the UAE to launch investigations, while Israel's Mossad and Shin Bet agencies also joined the probe.
