Official response
President Bola Tinubu declared three days of national mourning following the crash. Aero Contractors suspended its Customer Service Week activities and its managing director expressed condolences to the families and the Air Force.
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria announced the delivery of two ambulifts to Murtala Muhammed International Airport for passengers with reduced mobility.
Investigation and site visit
Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke visited the crash site and said a high‑level panel would probe the accident. He described the victims as highly trained professional officers and urged the public to avoid speculation.
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa also visited the site, noting that the main body of the aircraft had not been recovered and that recovery teams faced swampy conditions up to 30 metres deep.
