Tupolev and Minsk plant of civil aviation No. 407 signed a cooperation agreement on 1 October 2026 at the INNOPROM Belarus industrial exhibition. They also signed a roadmap for creating a technical maintenance centre for Tu‑154 aircraft, a painting contract for a Tu‑154, and a contract to produce 135 DSUE types for ten aircraft sets.

The agreement aims to keep more than 100 Tu‑154 aircraft airworthy and includes production of DSUE components, supporting continued operation of the aging fleet. This could affect airlines that still use Tu‑154s by providing dedicated maintenance and parts.
