- A fisherman discovered a man's body floating in Popoh Bay, Tulungagung, Indonesia, at about 17:00 WIB on 3 October, and combined Polairud and TNI AL forces recovered it and moved it to the Popoh Fish Auction Dock around 19:30 WIB.
- A forensic examination of the body was later carried out at the Dr. Iskak Tulungagung RSUD Medical Forensic Facility, with officials estimating the victim had been in the water for three to four days.
