Boeing Secures $20 Billion Contract for F‑47 and F/A‑XX Fighter Programs

Boeing was awarded a contract worth over $20 billion to develop the U.S. Air Force’s sixth‑generation F‑47 fighter, which will replace the F‑22 Raptor fleet, and to create the U.S. Navy’s carrier‑based F/A‑XX fighter.

The F‑47’s first flight is targeted for 2028, while the F/A‑XX program is slated for delivery in the 2030s, placing pressure on Boeing to meet both timelines.

Boeing’s success in these programs will shape the next generation of U.S. combat aircraft for both services.
