Two Elixir Aircraft test pilots killed in crash at Rochefort military airbase

Two test pilots employed by Elixir Aircraft died when their small plane crashed on a military airbase in Rochefort, Charente-Maritime, during a routine production flight.

The base commander said a severe mechanical failure caused the accident, which occurred near the adjacent Rochefort airport, and military responders were unable to rescue the crew.
