Embraer and Mahindra have selected Nagpur, a central Indian aerospace hub, as a potential site for a final assembly line for the C‑390 Millennium, and are negotiating with the Maharashtra government, which has set aside land for the project.

The factory will only be built if India decides to purchase the C‑390 under its Medium Transport Aircraft program, and the location benefits from Nagpur’s position about 680 km east of Mumbai near the country’s geographic centre and its growing aerospace ecosystem that includes maintenance facilities by AAR and Indamer and the Dassault Reliance Aerospace operation.
