The 35th Airports Council International (ACI) Africa Annual General Assembly, Regional Conference and Exhibition took place in Abuja from September 19 to 25, drawing more than 500 airport professionals, policymakers, aviation experts, technology providers and other industry stakeholders from across Africa and beyond.

Hosted by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria under the theme “Next-Gen Airports: Driving Performance and Resilience,” the event featured high‑level discussions, technical workshops, exhibitions, business‑to‑business engagements and sessions on smart airport technologies and climate‑resilient infrastructure, allowing Nigerian airport managers and other participants to benchmark their systems against developments elsewhere in Africa.

The conference announced that Senegal will host the 36th ACI Africa Annual General Assembly, Regional Conference and Exhibition in Dakar from March 20 to 26, 2027.
