FAA suspends Boeing 737 MAX 10 certification over software issue

The Federal Aviation Administration halted the certification process for Boeing's 737 MAX 10 after identifying a software problem, according to aviacionnews.com.

The software, supplied by GE Aerospace, could block pilots from accessing automatic flight guidance during a failed approach and the issue also impacts some aircraft already in service; the FAA will convene a Corrective Action Review Board and will not resume certification until it is satisfied with the corrective solution.
