Iraqi Airways to Restart Iran Services in October after Sanctions Exemption

Iraqi Airways has secured a special exemption from U.S. sanctions on Iran and will restart flights to and from Iran in October, with the first services departing from Najaf International Airport.

The airline had previously suspended its Iran routes because of the sanctions, which also impacted other international companies working with Iran Air, and it briefly resumed flights to Najaf and Iranian airports on September 28 before the full October restart.
