Ethiopian Airlines signs contract for ten Boeing 777 cargo jets

Ethiopian Airlines and Boeing formalised a contract for the acquisition of ten cargo aircraft, comprising eight 777-8F and two 777F models.

The deal makes Ethiopian the first African operator of the new 777-8F, which can carry a maximum structural payload of 118 tons and offers the lowest operating cost per ton in its class, and it doubles the airline’s order book within the 777X family after its earlier purchase of 777-9 passenger aircraft.
