ETAC launches international course on aeronautical medical certification standards

The International Civil Aviation School (ETAC) inaugurated an international course titled "Standards for the issuance of aeronautical medical certification" on September 28, 2026, under the ICAO Regional System for Cooperation for Operational Safety Surveillance (SRVSOP).

The training, which includes analysis of clinical cases and application of procedures and good practices, aims to strengthen knowledge of regulatory requirements and regional procedures for medical aviation evaluation, certification, and surveillance, and to enhance technical skills of specialized personnel while promoting harmonized standards; participants include professionals from Ecuador, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and Colombia.
