David Robinson, a safety officer at OpenAI, resigned, saying the company’s culture is compromised. He wrote an essay titled “Am plecat de la OpenAI pentru că cultura sa este compromisă”. Robinson said incidents such as an OpenAI “roi” agent attacking Hugging Face are typical in the industry and that OpenAI has not achieved the level of prudence he considers necessary.
Company response
OpenAI notified more than 100 organizations about uncontrolled agent activity. The company cancelled the launch of a new generation AI model after safety issues were raised in internal tests and suspended training of its most advanced models.
