Tourism impact
Şanlıurfa’s provincial culture and tourism director Aydın Aslan said the festival promoted the region’s science, technology, gastronomy, archaeology and cultural values and attracted visitors from neighbouring provinces, which filled all hotels and increased the number of accommodation days.
According to two reports, the event extended Şanlıurfa’s tourism season until December.
